Monterey Bay Area 511 Traveler Information System Plan Partners
Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) – The Agency is responsible for investing in regional transportation projects for Monterey County residents, businesses and visitors. The mission of TAMC is to develop and maintain a multimodal transportation system the enhances the mobility, safety, access, environment quality and economic activities in Monterey County.
Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) – The Commission is responsible for regional transportation planning, policy and funding decisions for all travel modes in Santa Cruz County. The RTC works to make the transportation system convenient, reliable, safe and efficient, while promoting long-term sustainability and a full range of access choices.
The ICx Transportation Group – An innovative systems integration and consulting engineering firm with experience delivering a wide variety of ITS projects including 511 traveler information systems. This consulting firm was selected to prepare the Feasibility Analysis and Implementation Plan for this project.
The California State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) – Caltrans’ mission is to improve mobility across California. Caltrans carries out its mission of improving mobility across California with six primary programs: Aeronautics, Highway Transportation, Mass Transportation, Transportation Planning, Administration and the Equipment Service Center.
The partners are also coordinating the 511 Feasibility and Implementation Plan effort with the Council of San Benito County Governments on its transit information project.
The Council of San Benito County Governments (SBCOG) - The Council improves the mobility of San Benito County travelers by planning for and investing in a multi-modal transportation system that is safe, economically viable, and environmentally friendly.
